TRAIL DAWGZ

There are about 20 miles of Shared Use trails (Paved former Railroad Tracks mostly) in Northampton alone.

Northampton is also the home of 5 colleges.  It is an Outdoor friendly community, with a focus on the environment and local crafts and foods.

My idea is to buy an ELECTRIC BIKE HOTDOG CART and sell locally manufactured hot dogs in local buns.

I can purchase one of those Bendy wavy Feather Flags to hang off the bike to promote my wares.

I can attend festivals and Indoor events in the Winter.

Napkin Math - Sell Hot Dog for $5. Subtract from that sales tax (.40) $4.40, weiner (1.00) $3.40, bun (.50) $2.90, supplies (.25) $2.65.

$2.65 x WHAT = Lots of Money

WHAT = 100 hotdogs/day = $265

How many Hotdogs is a lot to sell? What is the flowthrough rate for people to weiners, and did I use the word flowthrough rate correctly? I doubt it...I may have even just made that up, but the idea is - How many dogs do I have to vend to justify a $10,000 business startup investment?

Realistically how many could I sell on in January vs August / Rainy vs Sunny / what events are out there?
